Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is Rotary's leadership training program for young people. It is run and organised by local Rotary districts, and can span from 3 to 6 days in length and can cover ages anywere from 14 to 25.

RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth, and aims to

  • Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth
  • Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders
  • Encourage leadership of youth by youth
  • Recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities

NOTE: It may be a requirement for some RYLA clubs to get sponsorship to attend. If you don't have a connection to a Rotary club, just try them, they can only say no.

NOTE: Unfortunately for everyone else the Rotary programs is not state based but based on a numeric territory designation which is usually smaller than a state, and can overlap state boundaries. Make sure you check you are looking into the correct region before applying. You can lookup a district by doing a suburb based search.
