The Queensland Youth Forum is a new program that brings together young people from across the state to share their views on key issues for young people and their communities. The first Queensland Youth Forum was held in Brisbane in September 2010.
Forty young Queenslanders came together to represent the views and issues of their peers, discuss and prioritise those issues for feedback to the Queensland Government, and work together to develop policy submissions and youth-led projects.
The forum program focussed on young people's contribution to their communities both now and into the future.
OUR NOTES:
We believe this to be an event based consultation, rather than the ongoing councils run by other states.
